Living and Breathing Paradox

CHANGE.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Gandhi

“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” – Andy Warhol

“The more things change, the more they remain… insane.” – Michael Fry and T. Lewis

“Things do not change; we change.” – Henry David Thoreau

The change of the seasons, the change of a job, the change of where you live, the change in a relationship. What IS it about change that is so wonderful yet so bloody difficult all at the same time? I love change, I crave it, I thrive on launching myself into uncomfortable situations. Then at first I hate it, I want to get out of it and pull back into what I used to know. We have all evolved through so much change in our lives and I think it’s getting over the hump of that ‘day-week-month-however long feeling of lost and weirdness’ that makes us feel empowered, like we accomplished something. I’m not sure when it happens but somewhere along the way you wake up and feel like you belong in that new situation and you aren’t a stranger to it anymore.

Change is confidence. Change is success. Change is openness.

What does change equal for you?
